Designed with Kids in mind
Each Fitniks® kids club is built around a one-hour, circuit-based program, so kids can stay focused and interested. The program incorporates a series of unique workout stations engineered to be safe for growing bodies:
Warm-up and cool-down stations

The children get their first taste of Fitertainment™ at the initial station. As suggested by the American Academy of Pediatrics, we begin our circuit with a 4-8 minute warm-up. The child first checks their heart rate by placing their hands on our self standing monitor. This mechanism helps teach the role of the heart in getting fit. They then jump into the game where they pedal to success on a virtual race course or run a foot race on the game pads. Once they elevate their heart rate and adequately "warm-up" their bodies, they are allowed to move on to the Fitniks Four.
Strength-training stations with equipment medically-approved for kids

Supervised strength training, like that offered at Fitniks, increases your child’s muscle strength and endurance, protects your child’s muscles and joints from injury, and helps improve performance in a particular sport. Other potential benefits of youth resistance training include:
- Better heart and lung function
- Improved body composition
- Stronger bones (Increased bone mineral density)
- Increases Cardio-respiratory fitness
- Improved motor performance skills
- Lower blood cholesterol levels
- Enhance mental health and well-being
- Stimulate a more positive attitude towards lifetime physical activity

The major muscle groups that are used during our resistance program are as follows:
Chest Press: Pectoralis Major, Anterior Deltoid, and the Triceps
Lat Pull: Latisimus Dorsi, Teres Major, Lower Trapezius, Biceps
Leg Press: Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Gluteus Maximus
Overhead Press: Deltoids and Triceps
Cardiovascular stations equipped with advanced interactive video game screens

After the twenty minutes of resistance training, kids are rewarded with six more Fitertainment stations! The main goal of our fit-games is to increase the child’s heart rate thus increasing their cardio-respiratory fitness. However, the child gains much more. From the warm-up game to the cardio stations, our Fitertainment harvests self-esteem, hand eye coordination, muscular strength and endurance, and overall fitness. Whether they are riding their virtual ATVs on the exercise bikes, or dancing to the rhythm on the game pads; kids have so much fun, they forget they are working out!
